Decent adaptation. Many issues, including: No control over the recap (why can't we skip it at least, or turn that off? Why does it do a FULL recap every time I go to another app and return?); dragging cards is already main way to select, so why do I have to do long-press to see them instead of just clicking like in Twilight Struggle?; UI defaults to JUST under full zoom-out, which is when art is too tiny to appear but symbols don't replace it yet. Animations annoying. I could go on.

A very well-executed mobile experience for an excellent game. This comes with the base game factions and maps, with options to purchase expansions. It also has interactive tutorials to explain the game and factions, and solo play with AI components. The UI is excellent, giving you easy access to your actions and rules without feeling cluttered. Actions are animated, making it feel more alive than a physical board. The only real complaint that I have is the default camera is too zoomed in.

What a great implementation of Root! Easily a top 5 mobile game... and one of the most interesting board games. The Challenges are awesome. As Root learner, they helped me utilize different elements of the factions and prepared me to problem solve in a pinch during games. It's so nice to have the computer keep track of everything. Online games have been fun, challenging, and collegial. Great work, Dire Wolf. Between this and Everdell consider me a fan!
