The New and Improved Cipher Cryptics is now Available!!!
Previous releases are now considered Beta releases.
Cipher Cryptics is a simple text Encryption app. For those who do not know what encryption is: It is basically a digital version of the secret messages that everyone sends as kids.
With the introduction of version 3.0.1 the Visuals as well as the code have been GREATLY enhanced! *Note: If you experience any errors please navigate to the Info Tab in the app and tap my email and explain the problem. If for any reason it asks if you'd like to send an error report, PLEASE select send report. This will allow me to fix the problem sooner as I know where in the code to look.
Also this now supports phones as low as Android 1.6, so get your friends and start sending secret messages to each other!
Current Ciphers included:
*** http://gizmo.do/Kqkgzo ***
Cipher Sender allows you to easily send and receive coded messages with your friends! Whether you're looking for security, enjoyment, or education, Cipher Sender is the app for you. Plus, it's cross-platform, so you can send messages to your friends on iPhones too!
This app includes some of the most popular ciphers and codes from throughout history including:
- Caesar Shift Cipher
- Morse Code
- Rail Fence Cipher
- Monoalphabetic Substitution Cipher
- Vigenere Cipher
- Letter-Number Code
- Atbash Cipher
- Keyboard Code
New ciphers and codes will be added in future updates. If you know of a great one that we missed, please let us know, and we will add it as soon as possible!
Security Permissions Explained:
Read SMS- This allows you to import a coded txt message that you received from your friend into Cipher Sender. Once it's been imported, you can then decipher it so that you can understand the message.
Internet and Access Network State- These two allow us to use Google Analytics to make sure that we are providing you with the best user experience possible.
Now you can with Cipher Tool. Encrypt the plain text and send it to your friends by a messaging service.
All they have to do is copy and paste and decrypt it.
Cipher Tool boasts a unique secret key for every time a text is encrypted.
***** Important Note *****
* Spacing is a very important part of encryption mechanism
When sending the encrypted message across messaging services like Whatsapp,Viber etc. the spacing in the front and after last Number is removed automatically.
So to properly decrypt them, Inside the app just add a space in front of the first number and after the last number for proper results.
More to come including:
* The abilty to add books to the Book and Beale ciphers
* Better Honeycomb support with built-in information about each cipher
* Ability to send text to Ciphertext from the Share menu of any app that sends plaintext, including Ciphertext itself (endless ciphering!)
* Recently Used List

CMS combines a mobile-optimized antivirus scanner with a mobile security manager to safeguard you against viruses, unsafe apps and potentially risky settings. You can filter out annoying calls and text messages by configuring white and black contact lists or simply block messages by certain keywords. CMS also gives you "Private Space" - private calls, text messages and contacts that are for your eyes only. Anti-theft protection allows you to remotely locate, lock, take photograph of the possessor or wipe off your personal data and files if the device is mislaid or stolen.
"Always on" virus protection and an on-demand scanner help keep your device clear of viruses and unsafe apps. One touch scans and scheduled scans are provided as well as a system “Health Check” feature that quickly identifies viruses, unsafe apps and potentially risky settings.
CMS makes it easy to manage all the apps in your device. You can view the installed apps, take a backup or uninstall them. With a single tap restore uninstalled apps back to your device. View full list of apps in your device and you can choose either to install them or delete them.
CMS gives you full visibility and control over running processes. You can see how many are running, how much memory each uses and can quickly close down the ones you don’t want. Software Manager helps you kill apps and clean temporary files in cache memory which may be slowing down your phone down.
Task Scheduler allows you to automate regular tasks like antivirus scans. You can choose to run the scan on any day or all days at a preset time.
SMS and Call Blocking
Instantly filter out annoying SMS messages and phone calls by configuring black/white contact lists. Alternatively, simply block all text messages containing certain keywords.
Private Space is where you store contacts, phone numbers and txt messages that are for your eyes only. Once added, only you will be able to view those communications. App Protector also enables you to lock your apps from access by unauthorized users.
Privacy Advisor identifies those apps on your device whose permissions could allow them to compromise your privacy or cost you money in outgoing calls/texts.
Recover your device easily if it is mislaid, lost or stolen. Give commands remotely to locate it and get a photograph of the possessor via email, even if SIM is changed. Lock your phone and erase all data from device, memory and SD card just by sending a message from your buddy's phone.
Anti-Theft Text Codes
(txt to your missing device)
Note: Replace 'yourpassword' with your own anti-theft password
Backup and restore important data such as contact lists, text messages and private space to a memory card.
Traffic Monitoring and Firewall
Keep track of your mobile broadband usage and block internet access to selected apps to avoid exceeding your data usage plan.

GCC was in many reviews, podcasts and tests on different geocaching sites. The feedback was allways really good. The ratings at the market emphasize this. So, give GCC a try! :)

Displays network information and diagnostics: Ping a server (via both ICMP and TCP), DNS lookup (with geographical lookup of IP addresses), reverse DNS lookup, WHOIS queries, inspecting HTTP response headers, trace routes (also with IP address geo lookup), check whether a range of ports is open, scan a host for SSL versions and ciphers.
Includes home screen widget for long-running pings.
Recently used servers/IP addresses are remembered for auto-completion.
The results can be copied to the clipboard (via long-click on the output text), sent via email or stored in a file as text or PDF. A history of the results of recent operations is kept (swipe left and right to switch between tabs).
Numerous options (like using an alternative name server, Ping TTL, showing ping times for each traceroute step, Broadcast Ping, using HTTPS, setting the HTTP port number, selection of DNS record types to query, etc.) are available through a long-click on the "Go" button.
Contains no ads.
Please join the Google community "Ping & DNS" where I support this app, especially if you're having problems.
Note for Samsung devices: Ping and Traceroute don't work on some Samsung devices on Android 4.2 and newer, because Samsung required functionality. TCP Ping should always work, though.
WHY THE GPS PERMISSION? First off, GPS is only accessed if the "Show Location" checkbox is set in the Ping Options dialog. This checkbox is turned off by default, so unless you explicitly set it, you don't need to worry about your location ever being tracked. Tracking location is useful for measuring ping times during long-running pings across large areas, like a factory or a university campus. Once a long-running ping with location is done, a Google Earth file (.dmz) is created that shows the ping times along with the geo location of each ping. Most people will never need this option, so you don't have to worry. And even if you do use it, location data is stored on the device, it is not sent or uploaded anywhere (the exception being if you attach the Google Earth file to an outgoing email - in which case you're in charge of where the email is sent to). So all the negative comments you may see in the Play Store are unfounded.
The Vigenère Cipher is one of the most important ciphers in cryptography and now you can make use of it. Just type in your message and enter a personal key, that you will have to share with your friend, and you can encrypt any message. The person who then receives your message can use the same app to decrypt your message, also known as Ciphertext, and read the original message or better the Plaintext.
Have fun using this app and don't forget to check out the "Send cipher text via Email" function, which let's you share your cipher text via email!
And now, let's encrypt some messages!
