The Boost Configuration Tool configures the settings on your device to help connect you seamlessly to our network. Simply download the app, let it run in the background, and It will automatically detect your SIM card and configure your phone for use on our network.

Why would this app have permissions to read,modify contacts,access to camera. This app is to help with connectivity. These Ridiculous permissions and bloatware apps that only invade privacy. Straight garbage app does nothing for connectivity. Loss of signal,Volte not available when trying to make a phone call while connected to Bluetooth and not. Dropped calls, Poor connection.

I just dropped Boost for good. I've had their service for almost 3 years. About 2-2 1/2 months ago, I started getting error messages, that my SIM wasn't registering, or that it wasn't compatible for my phone account. I called several times, even bought a new phone, which I was scammed to pay a lot more than getting the upgrade. Didn't realize it until a few days later. I called again. They kept saying, it's showing that the phone is working from our end, and in the middle of several calls, poof!

Since the start of the year (2024), even though I have "unlimited" data, I routinely cannot use any mobile data for internet, only for calls/texts. Restarting, adding more APN settings, nothing fixes it. That's why we're going to a different carrier. At least with Republic we were able to get answers and fixes pretty quick. Boost does nothing for us.
