Ratings and reviews

Pass. I got this for home bar inventory, started the Pro trial, and kept getting pop-ups about joining Pro. Scanned 6 bottles and only 3 were identified correctly, with all three major distillery standards. One of the other three listed 9 options, none correct, but at least listed the correct distributor. The other two came up with nothing, both from Penelope. Already cancelled the trial and uninstalled.

Latest build fixed a few bugs. It is ok for checking reviews, but still missed the mark on a number of key areas. This product is almost useless for someone trying to use it to maintain a collection. The only way to add the price paid is by adding it to a review. Except for many collectors you may not open your bottle until months or even years later. I'm forced to add a bogus review in order to enter price I paid. Unfortunately there is now way to see the price paid afterwards. Disappointing.

So far the only Android app I've found allowing me to create lists of what's actually in our liquor cabinets, plus a list to remind me when I shop. I like that I can publish items not already in their database. I still use the free version. The inducements to upgrade are not persuasive to me yet. Although I want to annotate our collection, as home bartenders we normally have one bottle of any given item. What might convince me to upgrade is if the Pro version allows copying items between lists.
