About this app
I am Pascha van Hattem, creator and “final boss” of VathorstRadio.
The idea of my own radio station has been on my mind for 15 years.
In March 2022 I also got Corona, so I spent a week at home and therefore plenty of time to set up this station.
Back then, around 2008, the technology and possibilities were not nearly as extensive as they are now.
Since 2014 I presented the Zaanradio WeekendOchtend Show on Saturday morning together with Eric and Jerry.
Because the local broadcaster RTV Zaanstreek lost the license in March 2022 and I did not want to switch to the "competitor", the idea gained momentum.
With the help of various friends, former colleagues and of course hours of puzzling and trying myself, this is the result and I am proud of it and grateful for it!
VathorstRadio is not a commercial channel, it's a hobby of mine. I don't earn anything with it and I want to keep it that way, no hassle with the Tax Authorities or Chamber of Commerce.
Just play nice music between 1970 and now.
Programming is fully automatic for much of the day.
Currently there are a number of presented programs such as VathorstPM, The Sidekick Show, Power Online!, Frank opens a book and Het Voetlicht.
With the great program Mairlist I made playlists with all kinds of music from over 50 years of pop music.
At the programming page you can see when which era will pass.
