needs work guys. AVR is good , app has a good interface but 1. does not detect the AVR automatically, ip address needs to be put in manually. 2. it hangs often, especially with Internet radio and podcasts. please get spend some time on debugging. or if you have, fire your current app developers, app has a great concept. Just needs to run.
Utter rubbish since the "update" the other day. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it can't recognise my amp on the network, even when I manually enter its IP address. Why don't they just leave things as they are? Update: 21/5/18 Recently, after another update, it started working again but tried to use it this morning and it's back to not being able to detect my receiver on the network. God alone knows what's going on with this app, I certainly don't.
Recently purchased the Denon AVR X2300 simply outstating. The App is good but needs a few finishing touch. Overall it's good with all functions available. Cons it crashes quite often slow with songs on the tab or on usb. Most important wish Denon could make this app to read these song details and allow the App to connect to the net to download and dislay information of the artist picture art etc. Currently only mp3 pic art work is displayed. Flac with pic artwork somehow does not work. It's boring with just music playing. Hence the above suggestion. Tks
***Update*** I followed the update instructions and unplugged receiver and plugged it back in. The app now connects again. Really really want this to just work. The controls are wonky and slow but if I could count on it working I would give it a four. The app has a ton of features and when it connects it is useful. Unfortunately, cannot depend on it. It works perfectly one day and then the next day it doesn't. Please please fix!
Just checking back after a couple of months to see if ANYTHING has been fix .. yet. .. Unbelievable. .. It's as if Denon does give a .. darn ... sigh .. Very disappointing, to say the least. Wow, this app is really messed up now. How can anyone release such a horrible app? And then make it worse? It doesn't work at all now. Who did you hire to write this stuff? You do realize your reputation is going down the drain, don't you?
Please denon make in work. If it works it's really really slow. Could you add in that it selects a default reciver? It's painfully slow scanning for my reciver. Since last update it doesn't connect, even after disconnecting the power cord for a few minutes. As a company you should be embarrassed with a broken app like that.
