I'm using an AVR-X3000. This app sucks plain and simple especially with android support. Although Air Play seems to work flawlessly. What gives? Next to ZERO functionality when it comes to Spotify or any streaming. In fact, only recently every selection I make comes up, "station not found". I've power cycled, firmware is up to date, app is up to date...what's the deal? The whole purpose of purchasing this unit was to integrate into my home network. I need answers and a fix ASAP. We all do. Fix this.
Great for 2005 No longer works. Old one star review: This interface needs a major overhaul. I expected a lot better when I purchased my receiver. I suppose I should have investigated but I was just trusting denon to have something reasonable. Luckily, I can get a $35 chromecast and will probably endrun around this app before it gets updated. Maybe I'll be surprised and this app will be replaced before a workaround arrives.
I tried other non Denon apps because reviews said this one sucks. Well after disappointment with the others I tried this one with my X3100W and it works flawlessly. Better interface, and easier to use. I love the Pandora integration, shows album art, song, and artist. **UPDATE: seems the Pandora interface has issues of you have a large station list, will not load so I can't use the app to change stations. ** I use the app to control my second zone to play music indoors and out. Try it, you might find it really is the best app for your Denon. Note: Denons apps only work with specific models, check the details, you may need a different Denon app.
Was great No clue how this app hasn't improved in functionality over the years, but it still looks like it was designed in 2011, and now my 3313ci cannot be found on the network more often than it can be. Even after going through network setup again, the problems persist. Consider a receiver from a company that places more emphasis on staying current with their app functionality. Or at least one that doesn't let their app become useless over time, and then releases a new app for newer receivers.
Find a manufacturer from this century Amp bought 4 years ago is great. It has an app, spotify, internet radio etc. But they all either don't work or are rubbish. If you want a great amp buy a denon. If you want a modern experience that is kept up to date then look elsewhere.
App doesn't respond This app is a disaster. When trying to play local internet stations (because the HD tuner is dead) or SirusXM, it continuously loops between the station and the folders. Once I get a station to play, the displayed text is so small I can't read it. Glad I paid $1300 (3313ci) for an AVR with broken features

*Please use a latest firmware in your Denon models by checking it via the system setup menu.(General > Firmware)
*Please set "Network Standby / IP Control / Network / Network Control" to "ON / Always ON" in your Denon product via the system setup menu to use this app.
Stream all audio to AirPlay, DLNA, SONOS, Cast, AllPlay, HEOS, Samsung & Fire TV
