DO NOT UPDATE! It removes most of the features which were useful and necessary. And the reply from DriveNow is; "we're bringing those back later". Come on, is this a joke? What should we do to use the other features now? Just wait another 3 months? This could have been a BETA version and whoever wants to use the full feature-set could keep using the old version. And also, the hamburger button opens a menu from the bottom of screen. Have you guys ever heard anything about "meaningful transition"?
Last 10 comments correct. You currently lose most information you definitely need. You currently do not see your minute status. This is unacceptable. It seems that the guy who approved this update is not among the typical users, which means that he probably does not pay for minutes and does not have to keep an eye on whether to purchase a new package or not.
1.No filters. Guys, just an example. I'm coming back from IKEA an bigger car than e.g. Mini. What would be the ideal way to find a car with needed space. Of course to use a filter and not to click on every single car around you and check if it's a prefect size for me at the moment2. No relevant info in the pop-up when I click on a car. Price and size of the car are two the most important features what I as a customer would be looking at. Why do I need to know the mileage left in the city, where it would take you max 20 km to drive from north to the south border of your area? Please put the price next to the picture of the car and to top hide it in the pull-up menu. And guys, have you heard about beta programs? What was your reason to roll out the cutted version to all customers? I'm lucky to be in the city where there are many transportation alternatives, including for car sharing
There is a saying, less is more. Not in this case. Few failures: 1. Missing filters, account data, overview about the car. 2. Zooming out does not collapse cars into groups, thus when zooming out the app works very slowly. 3. "Hi, I am..." Gets old very quickly, this "Real estate" could have been used for something more useful. This is not how you design a good user experience. 4. Car radar is gone for months now. (Using Free2Move as an alternative) 5. No address search, good luck zooming out and trying to find a car in a different location to your GPS coordinates. I have been using drivenow for the past year, and every few months a feature is gone missing. It's time to re-evaluate your product teams decisions. I guess it's time to fully commit to car2go. Good luck.
This update is terrible! The app doesn't have anymore: filters (I saw the new icons on the pins), conditions of the car, account info, ways to invite friends and all those important info for using the service. The app may be slightly faster, but is way more unusable. If I were you I would redistribute the old version and re-propose this "major" update once it's on pair. On a side note, the "side menu" should appear from the side even with a swipe gesture and not from the bottom.
Not very smart to launch a beta (untested) mvp version of the product. Lot of basic features gone.
A great start for springtime: our new app – faster, better, easier
• From now on select all features (navigation destination, business trip, packages) in the app before you start your ride
• Book your BMW and MINI up to 5 times faster than before
• As soon as you are 150 meters close to the car, you receive a notification which allows you to open the car with one touch
