Can't recommend Tried to use this as a monitoring device with an old Android phone, Firstly, nothing to do with developer, getting the app on the phone was a nightmare, Google's issue, had to set up a new account, even though one already existed for said device. Once installed it worked - for a while - then started to jitter. Restart, cured, but that's not the point, I want continuous monitoring, not intermittent, in fairness, it could be a battery problem with the device. The app is fine, but don't expect bells and whistles. Basic, yes, but it doesn't do what I want it to do. The BabyCam Monitor might be better, but for monitoring an adult with dementia, the interface sucks. It works, but don't expect miracles. Also have serious issues with the use of Java.
Java has killed it. This used to work great, but now from what I can tell the new verson of java wont let it through blocks it and says its untrusted. It would be more than 1 star if not for the fact I can't do a single thing with it now without completely turning off java's security settings.
Java security issue Won't run with latest version of java plugin because of security violation. So need to specify IP:port address as exception in java configuration. Then works fine but get annoying java security prompt after EVERY capture. If that was fixed I would give it 5 stars.
BEST DOLLAR I EVER SPENT Couldn't get a plugin issue sorted out in Firefox due to laziness, but its streaming just fine in IE. I just wish there was an option to change from landscape to portrait. Anyways, I wanted this app to catch my roommates in the act of eating my food. For a dollar, I no longer have to worry about spending more than necessary on groceries.
Works Awesome People giving it 1 star because they can't figure it out are a joke. I use my Verizon jetpack as a portable router, uses no data to link laptop to phone.
Firefox support works.... Open Internet Explorer first the run the app and click allow to run when prompted. Then close IE and open Firefox and got to your addons and tell Java to always be active. And thats it you're done! 5 stars from me!
