DoubleMap is a real-time GPS bus tracking system.

DoubleMap allows riders to track the exact location of a bus in real time for your city. We know how busy your day is. Don't waste a minute of it waiting at a bus stop.

Alerts are almost good. I appreciate the ability to be able to set up a window of time where I'll be notified of an upcoming bus arrival to a stop I use. Frustratingly though, this alert goes away after being activated once. I want my alert to be perpetual, so I can rely on always being aware of my bus stops. Also, for visual comprehension, it would be very helpful if the bus routes had arrows along the lines to indicate the direction the bus would be headed even when the same route overlaps.

When it works, it works well, but often, it doesn't. The routes settings useful if you only want to see routes relevant to you, but I've had issues with my routes being changed to "show none", several times, and routes are often hidden from the menu, so I can't always see all my routes. The app also has connectivity issues, so if I'm sitting at a stop, I often can't track the bus I'm waiting for. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to see multiple transit systems at once, but you can't.

The latest update was a failure. I install it, select a bus system, and it works. But when I come back the next day, bus routes are missing from the map. The only way to restore those routes is to clear data then go into the app and select the bus system over again. That's a lot of extra steps when I'm scrambling to make a bus first thing in the morning. The developers have gone from blaming me for their failed update, to radio silence. So, uninstalled.
