About this app

Hugo saves the recipes you find on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and others, and turns them into clean recipes you can actually cook. Hugo watches the whole video and reads the creator's pinned comment, so you get every ingredient and every step, not just the caption.

SAVE FROM ANYWHERE
- Share any recipe to Hugo from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook
- Or paste a link and Hugo imports it in seconds
- Or snap a photo of a cookbook page
- Recipe websites and blogs work too
- Hugo reads the pinned comment, where the real recipe often hides

YOUR COOKBOOK, ORGANIZED
- Every recipe you save, in one searchable library
- Group them into collections like "Quick Dinners" or "Date Night"
- Favorite the ones you come back to
- Every recipe keeps a link to the original creator

COOK HANDS-FREE
- Step-by-step cook mode with big, clear instructions
- Per-step timers you start with a tap
- Tap any ingredient to switch between metric and imperial
- Your screen stays awake while you cook

SHOP THE RECIPE
- Add a recipe, or a whole week, to your list in one tap
- Sorted by aisle, with duplicates merged across recipes
- Check items off as you shop

ASK HUGO
- Chat with any recipe: "make it gluten-free", "scale it to 8", "what can I
use instead of guanciale?"
- Hugo knows your cookbook, your allergies and your diet, so you never
repeat yourself
- The recipe updates as you talk, and you keep the original

COOK IT IN YOUR LANGUAGE
- Found a recipe in Italian? Hugo translates the whole thing into your language
- Ingredients, steps and units, all converted

MAKE IT YOURS
- Build a recipe from scratch with a guided flow
- Change any recipe and Hugo tracks what you changed
- Private notes only you can see

SHARE WITH FRIENDS
- Send any recipe as a link. Friends open it right in Hugo, your changes included

Chef Hugo is free, and your imports refill every week. Hugo Pro unlocks unlimited imports, unlimited chat and unlimited collections.

Private by default. We never scrape your cookbook or sell your data.

What’s new

Opening a shared recipe link now takes you straight to the recipe, even on your first time in the app. The link used to get lost during sign-up.

Headings across the app picked up Hugo's new serif.

Bug fixes and improvements!
