I initially had similar issues to others posted here (loopback and registration wouldn't complete no matter what you did). The update to the app installed on the Drobo 5N seems to have solved these issues. After uninstalling and reinstalling the DroboPix app on the Drobo5N itself, I also uninstalled and reinstalled the Android DroboPix app on my Samsung Galaxy S5. Drobo5N loopback completed in less than 3 minutes and Android-to-Drobo registration took less than 30 seconds. After registration completed, the phone app uploaded all picture and video files to the specified directory. So long as future updates to either the DroboApp and/or the Android app don't break a currently working system, I think this is a WIN for Drobo.
2/23/17 I downloaded the latest Desktop and Android App. Now the app can scan the QR code and become registered. The pictures are uploaded when I start the DroboPix app or after several hours. Not quite automatic in my opinion. Older:. I have a Google Pixel XL with Android 7.1.1. The app does not complete the registration process,. It recognizes the QR code from DroboPix, briefly displays the registration in process message, and then nothing happens. Eventually both apps time out and DroboPix shows no device in its list.
For some reason this app puts all my photos in a folder with the wrong date. Can you help me?
Unable to get app to read any QR codes. Tried to remove device and add again with a new code phone doesn't respond to any of them
Cant get the app to scan the QR code, using either the built-in feature of the app or using my camera direct. Unimpressed.
Doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 6.0.1. App takes pic of QR code, then times out. Not able to register my phone.
Fix failure to pair when using Huawei Ascend XT phones running some older Android versions.
