Spare Parts Plus! PRO allows you to enable and change some hidden settings of your Android device. This app is based on the open code provided by Google but updated to work with Android 2.33 GingerBread and tested on CyanogenMod7.
Note that stock GingerBread ROMs do not have the Battery History activity. You need CM7 or Custom Rom to see this. I am working on a fix for a future version.
- Enable/Disable compatibility mode to allow Apps to work at full screen size on Galaxy Tab and other large screen devices - Control windows animation speeds or disable them entirely to speed up your device! - Control windows transition speeds or disable them entirely to speed up your device! - Control haptic feedback - View battery history and information - View usage statistics - Control WiFi sleep policy to keep WiFi connected - No annoying AdMob adverts - And much, much more!
This is the first release and more features and settings will be added soon. Look out also for our Blade Buddy program for rooted devices which allows you to change, optimize and speed up your phone even more!
Warning: some ROMs do not have battery history activity built-in. The app will force close if you try to run and this activity is not built into the ROM.
A note on permissions: the program requests the following permissions:
Doesn't work on this phone Developer, please answer email about this not working No website and no emails response from developer. Been using free version for years got a new phone and decided to pay to support. doesn't work on my s4. website not there It's a great application a must have and a 5 star but I need it to work.
Not seeing any differences in paid version I just upgraded from "Spare Parts Plus! (no ads)" to "Spare Parts Plus! PRO (no ads)" and am not seeing any differences. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE this app, but I'm just not seeing anything different between the paid and free versions. Also, every single attempt to display "Usage Statistics" causes the app to crash with: "Unfortunately, Spare Parts+ PRO has stopped. Report. OK" I even tried after clearing the app's data and cache, forcing it to stop, and rebooting the device. Still happens. This is on my brand-new, second generation Moto X, running 5.0.2 (Lollipop). I just installed it on my old phone, an Atrix 2, running 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and it does NOT crash there. But...that's not the phone I want to use! ------- PS I was going to contact the developer, but the website provided, droidgram.com, doesn't exist, therefore their e-mail address at that domain won't end up being read. :(
