Terrible Ever since nest acquired drop cam from google it has become absolutely unusable. I think it gets worse every day. From constantly "loading" to just plain not working absolutely ANY other wifi camera would be better. My only recommendation is to run from this as fast as you can. It is a complete waste of your money and will only drive you insane.
Google/Nest FIX YOUR PRODUCTS Dropcam worked fine before Nest (aka Google) acquisition. Now app is crap with network timeouts, failed logins, and what seems to be a no longer supported app (Dropcam) followed by a forced migration to another app (Nest) with limited functionality and which requires me to enter serial numbers of products already defined in my account and PAID subscription! Come on Google/Nest, you MUST FIX THIS!
Moved to different window I was not getting alerts. Only recording one or two alerts in 24 hours, even though I live across from a school. Moved dropcam to another window, and now getting many more alerts/video per day. At one time there was an option to ignore movement outside of a specific area, like a doorway. I can't find that option on camera settings any more, but that may have been messed up with the update. Try moving your camera to another locayion, and see if it helps?
NEST reduced quality for Dropcam I originally gave 5 stars but just noticed they reduced the picture quality to make you buy the more expensive NEST camera. Now I have a low quality picture. I want my $150 back. You can't reduce the quality of what was a selling point and I PAID FOR! I'll make you a deal, I'll give you (NEST) my drop cam plus $50 for the new camera otherwise you just stole from me service I already paid for!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY! Nest ruined dropcam No longer location aware so I am spammed with notifications when walking around my own home. Definitely not renewing my subscription. Don't waste the money on a product with horrible, unresponsive support.
Gets worse every day It went off line 28 times in 16 hrs reset my Internet reconnected the camera and solved nothing. Never had this problem before until the firmware update. Strongly considering dropping this product!
