Love it! My husband is a pilot, and I can now look at charts and even help him sometimes! I've found AF/D info for him instantly, and once I handed him my phone to check position so he could keep the Garmin 430 display on something else. He has Avare on his phone too, and bought a tablet for Avare. I use it for reading library book downloads and on trips for email and Web browsing. Avare has made all this possible. Thank you!
It's Ok but only as a free backup and mainly for a moving map or charts.. It has a very clunky UI, still can't figure out how to get a TAF and just not nearly as intuitive as the others (to be fair those aren't free..). On my iPad, I might switch to Garmin (from foreflight) since the plane I fly has a 750 which easily links up and it's on both Android and iOS.. this would eliminate the need for a freebie as a backup.. UI consistency is very important when trying to also fly the plane.. this isn't it.
Pretty good for a free app Its what i need for a backup to foreflight but i really wish they would get rid of the emergency button there will never be a time where that button will be used i will ALWAYS have a radio or the phone that the app is on to call for an emergency the only thing that button does is scare me that im going to hit it by accident
Recent update made the UI look incredibly tacky with ill-fitting clunky bubble buttons. Some features not totally intuitive, like pulling up approach plates without "planning" to a destination. Otherwise, a mostly functioning chart program.
Great, and keeps getting better. This app is great, and is being actively developed, keep up the good work. Very full of features. Keeps getting better. Better than foreflight
Awesome And free. But please donate if you find it useful
