After galaxy on fire 2, this is incredibly disappointing. Galaxy on fire 2 May not have had graphics as nice as 3, but the gameplay was bang on. The open world exploration, engaging story, and ability to choose how to play that made 2 so much fun are just completely missing in 3. I honestly don't know what the developers Might've been thinking, if they even were. The best thing about it is that it was at least free to download, so I won't be losing anything by uninstalling.
The missing elements of GoF 2, like trading and open world, are very noticeable. Progression is slow even compared to the rebalancing of the Android version if GoF 2 which was oriented towards micro transactions, from weeks to months or even years.. The fighting gameplay is fine but doesn't improve much over it's predecessor. The graphics are better though.
Only I doslike is the lack of open world...GOF2HD set the bar for space sims and gave us a mobile version of what many consider our beloved X series. This is still a great game by all means, the controls are good, the graphics amazing, the voice and music is awesome. Just wish they had stuck to open world. Maybe we can hope for the next one. I will still be playing this and GOF2HD in the mean time. All in all, well done Devs!
Was really looking forward to this, honestly the game is fine but if you're expecting a sequel to GOF2 you aren't going to get it here. It is an entirely different style of game altogether. Controls are ok but in my opinion not as good as 2, graphics are gorgeous but graphics don't make a game. I played 2 multiple time because it was engaging. This feels like a grind at all times. I barely play it because it doesn't hold my attention since I was Hoping for a true sequel. Took me this long to review it due to lack of playing and really no urge to even bother with a review.
Even the best graphics on mobile wont let you earn any money - If no support for current devices like my Galaxy Tab A 10.1/2016. Paid for GOF 2 HD twice! On Blackberry Playbook OS long time ago and Android and was looking forward for the third installment.
Overall game and missions are nowhere near as good as the previous, it's all the same 3 or 4 missions... Trying to play without spending 7.99 every other day doesn't really get you anywhere either I can't bring myself to play for more than 30 mins at a time, gof2 was gripping... This isnt
