If you are a DStv customer in a country within our DStv territories, the DStv app enables you to stream live TV, catch up on your favourite series, movies and sport highlights or download to watch later offline, all on the go.

The Live TV and Catch Up content in the DStv app will be as per your DStv subscription package and country where your subscription is held. Due to geo-blocking this content can only be played within the countries in the DStv territories.

As a DStv customer you can enjoy all of these features on the DStv app.

- Download up to 25 videos on Catch Up to enjoy offline later across 4 devices

For legal reasons, the DStv app is not available on uncertified Google devices. Please ensure that you are using a Google-certified device by going to Google Play Store Menu -> Settings -> Device Certification.

Ratings and reviews

Giving it a 1 cause I can't go lower. It's been the worst app of all my apps. It says I can't stream because I'm streaming on other devices when there's literally no other device streaming. It's frustrating! Nevermind the fact that still, after so many updates, only one device can watch downloads/stream even when you're using the same IP address. Multichoice must just close shop, they're not even listening to their customers.

Terrible App. Not only does the app have to reload every time you change a category or something, the quality is low and the connection is bad. On top of this they play ads when you watch non live content. Why have a paid service (an extremely expensive one) but still have ads???? Showmax works much better and has no ads. Also it's so much cheaper. It's honestly mind boggling

It's a good app, but I'm just extremely surprised that, in a world where practically every smartphone doesn't have a 16:9 screen, they haven't added a full screen mode that scales properly. This is so simple to code, and it absolutely baffles me that it hasn't been implemented yet. Also, no zoom and rewind functionality in full screen. Another thing that's also lacking are custom notifications If these issues are addressed, I will be more than happy to give this app a five-star rating.
