The good: The way the lessons are set up is very helpful, the spaced repetition especially. Characters are charming and engaging. The bad: The introduction of "ai" voices and curriculum have led to some noted inaccuracies. Not enough built-in guides to grammar, which I think it used to have. Overall worth it for vocabulary and regular practice, but you will need supplementation with pronunciation and grammar.

My old review is gone! I'll state my opinion again. The app is terrible now. The branching lesson system was perfect. I could focus on the material I was struggling with while using the stuff I already knew as practice. I could also listen to podcasts when I had a migraine. I could use the listening lessons, matching games, and timed games when I chose. Now it's a one size fits all system. No choice. No options for when I have a migraine. No fun choosing the lesson I want. Bring back old Duo.
