Would be good but... This app would be great if the logger started collecting AP's and logging them. It did once or twice then quit. Would also be good if you make it support saving the logs to text files or renaming the log inside the app. Also add control for how far is visible on radar (zoom in/out) also add way to filter list with wildcards and last and IMO best idea ability to lock on to a signal and get beep sounds based on how close to AP you are (maybe put on radar screen). then I give 5 stars.
Longtime user I'm a big fan of WiFiFoFum, but it was crashing on launch after I upgraded to Android 6. I couldn't find any help online, so I started tinkering. I was able to get the app to launch by toggling permission for Contacts, Location, Phone, and Storage (only worked with all four toggled) under Settings -> Apps -> WiFiFoFum -> Permissions. I hope that helps some of the other folks experiencing crashes immediately after launch.
Beware contributions data use Works good to map APs but beware...this used nearly 2GB of data in a couple hours when I left it in the background. I don't understand how since it only generated a 100KB KML log but it used up ALL my 2GB data plan (so I know it isn't just mis reporting in thd settings/usage screen). Otherwise it seems to be on a par with the Windows Mobile version.
Nice conversion from window mobile I've been using this app since I had my old Ipaq with windows mobile 2k3. Its a great app and the conversion was more that than I had expected. Good work. Using A 2.2 on Samsung Intercept
Good App but Radar overcrowded As others have said, text too small and hard to read.
Not very useful The radar is a joke. You need the magnifying glass to read anything. There are many more similar apps that are more useful. Sorry. Uninstalling.
Several bug fixes and improvements to the underlying app, plus support for the latest versions of Lollipop and upcoming Marshmallow.
We're going to be doing more regular updates to WiFiFoFum moving forward so expect numerous incremental updates over the coming months. We've also got some major new functionality and features planned. Email us at email@example.com to let us know what features or fixes you would like to see in coming updates.
