Ratings and reviews

I've quit and started back on this a few times, so I keep forgetting that this is ea, meaning it's not pay to win, it's pay to play. unless you piss hundreds of dollars away each time it updates, you aren't going to get far. Newest update gives you a new character, but unless you buy the upgrades, you're stuck with the basic, meaning you can't progress through his story. You do missions to get characters sometimes, and they have events that double your characters, but double zero is still zero.

I've played this since launch and the newest update is a travesty. The game has always been p2w but that price has gone up exponentially. What used to be $100 to get a new character now costs $400. There's new game modes that don't require strategy/skill but rather a fat wallet. They literally cap your damage output based upon how much you've spent. Then you have to wait 3 months to be able to use that character you spent $400 on in the "legacy" game. If you're considering playing this...don't.

Great selection from several timelines in the Star Wars canon! Edit: years later, this game has devolved into a P2W wasteland. CG isn't adding new content for all, but only for people who have several tiers of characters unlocked already. You have to spend $20-$50 for each character bundle to catch up. Edit2: 10 yr anni update and they implemented a new system that torches even their paying players. It is now even WORSE.
