It is nice to get phone updates and is much easier to access than the website. The watchlist items cut off at 200 which includes watched items that have ended. It is best to sign up for PayPal because some mobile bids won't go through because the seller only accepts through PayPal, if you don't do ahead of time then you could miss items. I use the app all the time and it works very well for quickly checking on offers, bids, and followed searches. Note, the refinements reset with every new search unlike online. Be aware of thiz and have fun!
[This is an UPDATE] In April 2014 I wtote "This app keeps getting better and better with each update. I find it very easy to use I appreciate the notifications on my auctions, whether I am bidding or selling. If you travel a lot or you're always on the go and you use eBay a lot this is a must have app. I [1st] used it on my my my Samsung S3, now on my Samsung S5." Now it's Feb 2017, & my phone is a Samsung S7 & I still Love the App! Transactions, notifications, Everything is just seamless! A Perfect App!
What's happened to the "Following" settings? I used to be able to clearly see which saved searches had new listings, now I have to open each search and set the newly listed filter EVERY time ; it never saves. My use of this app has gone down about 70‰ because I haven't got the time or the inclination to do this every day. The rest of the app works great, but the follow settings are what I need.
It's brilliant. It's so easy to find what you are looking for and to sell the things you want to get rid of. PayPal makes everything much easier so I'd advise setting it up if you want to buy or sell as it's safe and everyone takes it (some sellers don't take other ways of payment) There are only two drawbacks to the app: 1. You can lose hours just trawling through everything and end up looking at things you had no idea you wanted until you saw them. 2. It's so damn easy to spend money!!! 😂
Made a bid while on break at work. That item is something my gf was longing for and being able to do it mobile was amazing. It is also a great way to wish list and compare prices. I love ebay, almost all the people I've del with selling/buying have been great, and I will continue to use both at home and on the go :)
I love to sell on Ebay but and a BIG BUT is that the pictures take way to long to get uploaded to the listing with Android and one listing takes to to long. The iPhone you can upload multiple pictures from the camera roll and drag and reorder them making the process so much faster and easier. Wish this feature would get added to Android
Here are some of the top improvements based on your feedback:
● Fixed: Notifications would sometimes open to an older message or item
● Fixed: App would sometimes restart after putting it in the background (you might need to re-add your shortcut to the app tray)
● Quick Tip: Save your search filter options by tapping the lock icon in the filter menu
