Great tool, used it for years. Feature ideas: 1. Show AGPS age even after fix. 2. Ability to extract AGPS data from GPS / GNSS radio signal or state. 3. Legend for the sat icons (dot, square, X, Green, Yellow ...). 4. Drawing of sat orbits and positions on a lo-res world map background (new tab). 5. Workaround/fix for devices that insist on needing more than 4 sats to get a fix.
It's pretty good for finding where you are and looking at the angle of your phone (altho in the woods that really doesn't matter). But it doesn't always find you, much less in a timely manner. Downloaded it as an aid to my spotty internal phone GPS, and it doesn't make it any faster it more accurate. Still gave 4 stars because when it works, it's indeed a good, detailed compass.
This is an incredible tool! I wanted to check the calibration of my GPS on my LG V20 and my Asus Z10 tablet. I went to my favorite website, Android Authority, for help. And as usual I got it. They used this particular app for all of there diagnostics and calibrations. So I followed suit since it made it easier to follow their instructions. After I finished I messed around with the app and discovered so many fun and functional things to do. It tells you a lot about your device that you probably don't know. I upgraded to pro because if you do it in the free app it's half price. Try it. If nothing else it's very entertaining! lol.
After upgrading from gs5 with no gps issues to gs7 i was very frustrated with my phone, Google Maps would show me driving across a field, in a river thro an apartment complex or send me one way and suddenly insist i do a u turn. With this app my gps connects way faster and stays connected better!
This is the best GPS App in the Google App Store, period. Brief crashes with Android O beta on Nexus 6P, but the May 21st update fixed it. 10 / 21 satellite locks, indoors. Couldn't ask for better. You only need 4 sats for accurate position. Dev is keeping on top of everything. Great job!
Somehow manages to improve the process of getting a GPS fix. Also eliminates situations where the 'blue dot' gets stuck far away from actual location. I guess it also helps that it makes the process transparent.
- Added %geourl% and %targetgeourl% to the sharing template. This allows you to format an URL that is understood by the iOS version of the app, too.
Yes, you read it right. GPS Status and Toolbox (with the same name) is now available on the AppStore for the enjoyment of your iPhone friends. Spread the word!
- Language updates, especially Danish and Polish (big thanks to the translators)
