Great tool, used it for years. Feature ideas: 1. Show AGPS age even after fix. 2. Ability to extract AGPS data from GPS / GNSS radio signal or state. 3. Legend for the sat icons (dot, square, X, Green, Yellow ...). 4. Drawing of sat orbits and positions on a lo-res world map background (new tab). 5. Workaround/fix for devices that insist on needing more than 4 sats to get a fix.
After upgrading from gs5 with no gps issues to gs7 i was very frustrated with my phone, Google Maps would show me driving across a field, in a river thro an apartment complex or send me one way and suddenly insist i do a u turn. With this app my gps connects way faster and stays connected better!
This is the best GPS App in the Google App Store, period. Brief crashes with Android O beta on Nexus 6P, but the May 21st update fixed it. 10 / 21 satellite locks, indoors. Couldn't ask for better. You only need 4 sats for accurate position. Dev is keeping on top of everything. Great job!
This app is really useful and gives great info. Looking forward to using it on many hiking and backpacking trips to come! Two features I'm missing is adding automatic breadcrumbs and the option to view the radar with linear scale for distances as opposed to logarithmic. Thanks!
I've been a fan of this app for 6 years, having installed it on every Android device I've owned. On one screen, I can check GPS accuracy, compass, and battery. Additionally, this app lets me reset (and refill) the A-GPS cache. And the notification icon is super useful; it tells me at a glance when other apps are using the GPS and the level of accuracy available. A must-have!
Firstable thank you for this software. It has been a while for me using it in the free version, but yesterday I feels the need to go farther, so I've got the PRO version. I love it and find it easy and powerful, however there's suggestions I'd like to find within updates in new releases. ***Folder organization: In locations when saving landmarks it's difficult to have things in order especially if you have a lot of data. So enabling the creation of folders would be a good solution. ***Sorting locations: It's necessary to be allowed to sort locations by name, date, diatance and bearing as this make it easy to find what ever you are looking for. ***Location description: By now only name, coordinates and color are allowed, why not add a description field. This way you can put more details. ***Import & export: As I've seen when you use this function, files generated are a kind of text code that come with the basic landmark data. But it would be nice if a more specific landmark file is created (some kind of executable file that insert the landmark in the app). ***Location Visualization: Also it will be fine if there's an option to locate one or more landmarks in a map. I know that there is the option of a map, but actually that means you need to open an installed application. It would be more easy to view the location(s) if just you connect to, for example, openstreet service, and afterwords close it without having to open any parallel software, with no use of resources of the system. ***Track recording: Why not allow to record tracks and having them organized in the same way I've suggested for locations (folder, sorting, viewing in map...). By now, it's all... hope you find it interesting to implant these functionalities (please allow me to suggest more in the future if I find it necessary).
- Added %geourl% and %targetgeourl% to the sharing template. This allows you to format an URL that is understood by the iOS version of the app, too.
Yes, you read it right. <b>GPS Status and Toolbox (with the same name) is now available on the AppStore</b> for the enjoyment of your iPhone friends. Spread the word!
- Language updates, especially Danish and Polish (big thanks to the translators)
- Stability fixes
