I like being able to get a new word daily. The mechanics are very frustrating. The constant wobbling is annoying and it's almost impossible to go back through all the words with out being sent to the beginning multiple times. You'll be on slide 12 then without warning be on slide 240, missing everything In between then have to go back through all the slides you just saw to find your place again.
Why would you think when a user slides to the next word, wobbling would be a good idea? I have no qualms with this app, it's perfect, I learn new words, it pushes notification letting me what the word of the day is, it's brilliant. But I cannot for the life in me get my head wrapped around the fact, as to why some highly intelligent dev team sat down and agreed, 'yes, our app would wobble when it is swiped to the next word, because that's what users want, some wobbling in their life'. Why would you think this wobbling is something that seemed like a good idea. Also, how many times are you going to welcome me to your app, i mean stop, I'm flattered. I get it, this app is intended to teach people, but honestly, I don't need to learn how to use this app EVERY single time I enter the app, really, I don't, I can remember. Your users aren't imbeciles.
Content great. However, swiping between words is the most dysfunctional function of any app I have ever encountered. Literally wobbles back and forth for no purpose other than to frustrate the user. It is not a cool effect. It is completely unnecessary.
I love the content. I hate the terrible endless and slow bouncing of the text when you swipe left. Make your UI Fast! Snappy! This app just chugs. It's annoying enough that I'll probably just delete it.
Great gre words and the context is a good approximation of gre items. I agree with other reviewers that the wobbly swiping is weird, and I don't like that the deck seems to reset each time I enter the app, but, all in all, one of the more useful gre vocab study tools.
I am learning 5 words everyday, and the app is very helpful. However, I'd love it more if every word had more sentences in different structures; each representing different meanings of the same word. As this app lacks that feature, I often have to Google for more sentence examples of tthr word I'm learning to fully master a word.
