Ratings and reviews

The app now has inexcusable issues. The main one is that in intermittent connectivity situations (eg. subway) the app will randomly jump me away from the article I'm reading to an advertisement between two stories, neither of which I was just reading. I then have to back out, use the ToC to get back to what I was reading and find my place again.

Getting worse with each round of updates. It doesn't remember from one session to the next where I left off reading in a weekly edition. Time is wasted navigating back to where I last was. Now I can no longer easily navigate from section to section with the table of contents given at the end of the article. It used to scroll left and right. Now left or right doesn't scroll the table of contents, it scrolls the article page to advertising. Less and less functional.

Absolutely indecipherable how to download the podcasts to listen to offline (eg a road trip or a plane journey). Shame - excellent content ruined by poor interface. Edit - the app of course is not good. Following a complex process on the Economist's website (link in the reply from the developer below) works for manual RSS input into a third-party podcast app. Would much rather have this functionality within the app itself but beggars can't be choosers!
