About this app

SASL DEAFinition App will allow you to learn specific signs to better
communicate with Deaf friends, colleagues, or customers.

The SASL DEAFinition App will allow the user to browse words, look up
specific words and request a word if it’s not available on the app.

The Deaf community is one of the most marginalised groups in South Africa. Because they cannot communicate freely with the hearing world, they are often regarded as incompetent or not intelligent, and not fit to be employed. This is far from the truth!

DEAFinition is a non-profit company providing a range of services and funding opportunities to promote equal access for the Deaf community.

The SASL DEAFinition App offers reference videos and material for the official sign language used by Deaf people in South Africa.

Enjoying using the app but just a note to the developers ,in the do's and don'ts the phrase "Wave until you can get eye contact with the other person" is in both the do's and don'ts so the message isn't very clear, also some of the images just won't load and i don't know why ,is there something i can do to fix it on my end or are other people experiencing the same problems?

The app is excellent. However, i request that the developers add a feature that lets you construct sentences and not having to search each word one by one

I started playing around with knowing a word or two signing, but now I can go as far as knowing the months and alphabets. I know its small progress , but with the app, you could learn more than you can imagine. Thanks to SASL DEAFinition.
