About this app

EFILive’s DSP4 phone application is designed to allow those users who have installed EFILive’s DSP4 custom operating system in their vehicle to change tunes on the fly using their phone / tablet connected to an OBD-II Bluetooth adaptor as an alternative to switching tunes via hardwired switch or EFILive hardware.

The application also incorporates an Idle Speed override function which allows you to temporarily control over engine idle speed; most likely to be used when using an electric winch.

You will need to purchase an OBD-II to Bluetooth adaptor to use this app on the vehicle. The OBD-II Bluetooth devices EFILive tested / developed with were the:
1. PLX Kiwi 2+ for Android
2. OBDLink® LX Bluetooth
Other cheaper ELM327 based devices might appear to work, but most of them use 'buggy' cloned firmware that is known to cause issues with other CAN modules on the vehicle. Please be aware EFILive cannot offer support for 3rd party Bluetooth hardware issues.

Your vehicle will also need to be running an EFILive DSP4 custom OS, refer to the Duramax 2p8L 2014-16 DSP4 User Guide available on our website for further information.

Does this app function with the newer OBDLink MX+? I've used the OBDLink LX for a couple years now and just discovered Passenger Mode! DOH! Great app though. I can easily switch through any of the 4 tunes albeit that the OBDLink app likes to fight for control.
