DYNAMIC TEMPERATURE
Control the full range of temperature, from 55 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit on either side of the bed to enjoy a cooler environment for deeper, longer and uninterrupted sleep. Powered by machine learning and biofeedback, the smart temperature mode automatically adjusts the temperature of your bed throughout the night for optimal sleep.

ADVANCED BIOMETRIC TRACKING
Seamlessly monitor over a dozen physiological and environmental data points such as: time slept, time to fall asleep, time of wake up, respiratory rate, heart rate, heart rate variability, temperature in bed, sleep breaks, light sleep, deep sleep and REM sleep.

SLEEP COACHING
Eight Sleep’s AI-engine calculates your sleep fitness score and sleep patterns, provides recommended Pod settings and allows you to compare with your friends and peers.

SMART HOME INTEGRATIONS

App was terrible at first and over time it has gotten a lot better. The algorithm that says you are awake, asleep, etc. has gotten a lot better. It's not perfect, but much more accurate. The speed of the app got a lot better but with the most recent few updates it is ridiculously slow again. It takes a while to load, then it takes a while to pull your current temp and it takes a while for other stuff. Not sure what they did during the update, but make it slow is the result.

The recent updates have caused problems with the app and sensors. I have automatic updates on so I don't know which version I was on recently but I'm on app version 5.12.7. On this version, it takes around 5-10 seconds from when you open the app and when you can interact properly with the app. This occurs on my phone as well as my wife's phone. Also, recently the bed sensors think I'm sleeping before I even enter the bed.

I love the mattress cover. It works great for my wife and I and has been a game changer for the past year and a half. However, the app from my phone takes a long time (up to a minute at times) to connect to the unit when I manually adjust the temp or turn it on and off. Also, about once every 1-2 weeks I have to turn the alarm off manually because it does not work through my phone. This is very frustrating because I have to crawl under a desk to do so. The app works better on my wife's iPhone.
