3. Input km/kg and we tell you the right amount of CO2 to buy
4. Pay with credit card and we make sure the CO2 is retired

When you buy an amount of CO2 in Ellie, you are buying an equal amount of "Gold Standard" carbon credits, that we permanently retire from the carbon market, so it cannot be resold or recirculated. This is why you can claim whatever amount of CO2 you buy, is offset.
WHAT IS GOLD STANDARD CARBON CREDITS?
Gold Standard certification ensures that the emission reductions are real, additional and permanent. Furthermore, coming from projects that also contribute to a minimum of three Sustainable Development Goals.
