Best Data switch/signal monitor A third party widget completes the phone. Thanks Empirical. Pay the dollar it's worth supporting. UPDATE: consumes too much battery power. Retested, then removed. Please fix.
Needs updating for 4G I've been using this widget for ages and haven't had any issues with it until today. I just noticed it was showing my mobile signal strength as zero but I had a strong signal showing on the top bar. I then realised why it suddenly stopped working. Yesterday I moved from an old T-mobile contact to EE pay as you go. My old contact didn't include 4G data but EE pay as you go does. It appears that whenever I have a 4G connection the widget shows a strength of zero. I'm hoping this will get updated to fix it!
Broken under 2.3, also breaks WiFi It worked fine under Android 2.2. But under 2.3 (CM7) it is constantly "freezing". It happens when you exit one WiFi network area and enter another WiFi network area. And to add insult to the injury, when this widget freezes, it also somehow prevents the phone from acquiring another WiFi network connection. I uninstalled the widget, and the problem with WiFi connection handover disappeared.
Was a great widget. I have had this widget follow me from my evo 4g to epic 4g to evo 3d and now my epic touch. Unfortunately the widget freezes and do not use any task killers. Rating will go to 5 stars when this gets fixed.
OK app. Not much more useful than free version. Please add Sprint 4G to the widget carrier and I'll give 5 stars
Decent Works well most of the time... but sometimes the wifi/data signal meter becomes unresponsive, forcing me to remove from and replace on my home screen.
Fixed - Operator and Signal Strength options could not be restored without re-adding the widget.
