About this app

FreeLoop lets you simulate a looper pedal - for free. You can connect this to a guitar amplifier or an external microphone using a USB OTG cable (if your amp supports it), or just place it near your amp or whatever you want to record and use your phone's microphone.

Don't limit yourself to just the guitar - use this for beatboxing, or any sound you want to play on repeat.

No layering, just a single loop that plays on repeat infinitely. As long as that's what you want this app delivers, but I suspect most musicians will want a lot more functionality. Even with the single layer it's still a bit lacking: no VU meter, no display to show the waveform as it's being played back, etc. But I have to give it some credit for it's pure simplicity and lack of ads.

It certainly does what it advertizes haha- loops music. I downloaded this with the impression that it would allow me to layer loops, but it doesn't seem to do that. Giving it a high rating for simplicity and the fact that, though it doesn't allow layering, it does everything it says it can do.

That's very simple, but works very well. Tap to record. Tap again to pay. That's it. No ads and really free. The high point is with the less delay between the repetitions. Good. :)
