A great replacement! When the open source app I used for years announced it was shutting down I asked the community for replacement recommendations. While multiple apps were named, Endomondo easily rose to the top. After a few months of using it I understand why: easy to use, works perfectly and has an Android watch app to round out the package. As the title says: this has, for me, been a great replacement that simply works!
Needs a few features Many thanks for auto-disabling the GPS for exercises that don't require movement such as weightlifting. That's a huge Improvement! There are a couple of other features that would be extremely handy. 1st is the ability for Endo to distinguish between different paces while running. The user should be able to configure a speed, pace or at least steps per second to distinguish between sprinting, running, jogging and walking. When I go from an 8m/mi pace to 15, the app should know something changed.
Inaccurate GPS elevation App was great for tracking workouts and integrating with music. But I've had issues with both the galaxy s4 and galaxy s6 reading out inaccurate GPS elevation data. Says I am riding in negative elevations on rides. If that issue would be fixed I'd go back to using it.
Used to be great I have been using Endomondo since 2012. Back then I liked it so much that I bought the full version. I don't have any major complaints but it has become a bit too greedy and gave me too many interrupted workouts. Lately on every second run it nullified the workout the moment the screen switched off. Needless to say that it's more than frustrating. I'm going to use something simpler from now on. Ciao!
GPS lost I randomly encountered GPS lost from this app. It never reconnect the GPS subsequently. When this happened, I noticed my phone is searching for phone signal. I opened Google map to check for GPS connection and Google map are able to show my location. I am not sure why my phone always encountered phone signal lost when i am using this app and why this app has GPS lost when phone signal is lost. I am using a LG G4 and it happened in 2 different G4 phones.
Disappointing I was looking for an app I could use with my Moto 360 watch as I do alot of different exercises in the gym. This app seems to have a lot of variety to choose from. However I have had nothing but issues trying to connect with my watch. At times the GPS tries to search when I have selected an exercise that doesnt require gps and just hangs. Other times the start/play button doesnt work. Leaving me just standing at the gym wasting time. App is a waste of time for me.
