This is the way to do it! No bill unless I want data, I got the sim card that would have costs me $1 if they hadn't given me an offer for free, I pay NOTHING for unlimited talk AND text for real, sure there's a few ads but whatevs lol they don't get in my way, it's been about 6 months and I see many more months to come! Seriously baffling that people are still using other carriers, paying 40-60 dollars per month just doesn't make sense to me anymore! Good job TextNow!! Keep up the Great work! A+

The ads in the text sms window deselect the text field when typing. You type an entire message, just to look up, and see nothing was inputted, due to the ad. Also, it waits until you are going to exit certain things, and pushes an ad where the X was, to make you click it. They also took away 2FA sms as a free feature, so you can't really use it as your only puone number. Been using them for a long time, and these changes have ruined the experience. Used to be awesome, now it's just annoying.

I've been using Textnow I think for nearly a decade. It has helped me so many times when I couldn't pay for phone service. Just recently I made the switch to their data plan, and I am very satisfied. If you can't pay, you still get talk and text in many places only having to see the ad bar above your keyboard. If you do pay, there are no ads and you get a decent service for a great price. I got 3g for 20 bucks, but it has unlimited 2g after breaking limit.
