About this app

Please note that 2ndLine is a messaging and dialer app and requires allowed permissions to optimize your experience.

---

Looking to grow your business without having to carry two mobile phones? 2ndLine allows you to add a second phone line to your existing device – no SIM card needed, and complete separation from your first number.

Your 2ndLine number works on your phone, tablet and desktop, making it ideal for small businesses, freelancers and other side hustles. Call and text anyone in the US and Canada using your WiFi connection or existing cellular network. No hidden fees, no fine prints – take your availability to the next level!

For the best experience, 2ndLine needs permission to make and manage phone calls, access call logs, record audio, and access your contacts list. Contact list information will be used to provide caller ID for numbers stored on your device.

Permissions requested:

  • Default Calling: This allows 2ndLine permissions to make and receive phone calls, access call logs, record audio, and access your contacts list

  • Proxy Calling: This allows 2ndLine to make and receive phone calls using a phone number provided by the 2ndLine app

  • Audio Permission: This allows the user to make and receive calls while being able to hear the person on the other end

  • Contacts List: This allows 2ndLine access to a users' existing contacts list for seamless communication

  • Notifications: This allows 2ndLine to notify a user of incoming calls and messages

How it works:

  1. Download the 2ndLine app and open it on your device

  2. Sign up with your email address and choose a phone number – it takes less than a minute!

  3. Start calling and texting your friends, family, clients – as long as they have a US or Canadian number, it’s always free.

Horrible app. I used this app for one week while waiting for a new phone. I paid the 6.99 for the week. When I no longer had a need for the app, I quit paying for it, or so I thought. After getting a bill the next week, I was irritated, but mostly at myself. I went to cancel the description, but you can't from the Google subcrtiptions and payments page. It says you have to go to the app and do it internally. (Reached word limit.. App is trash, and customer service sucks.)
