Why does it run as a background process when it has no use otherwise? Great benchmark app, shows what my lowly Galaxy Tab 2 7" is capable of with High Quality graphics (avg 47 fps), even if it can't do Ultra-High (~12 fps). But, I can't understand why that even after closing the app and turning off its notifications it resides as a background process consuming CPU and memory resources, albeit small. And why the phone permissions? I can't find anything in the literature that says it's doing anything useful other than a benchmark. Apps like these add up to hog what little remains of my RAM and so I always uninstall them, which is sadly what I just did to Citadel. I'll reinstall it, and give 5 stars, when Epic makes it a non-resident app.
A wonderful simulation of a citadel. It actually works fine on Adreno 330. I really liked to strolling in this beautiful citadel. The graphics are quite good. The objects quality is well-done, but can be improved. The lights in Ultra Mode could have been less brighter on the surfaces such on walls, because it gives a kind of foggy effect that might reduces the quality vision in some places of the citadel. Overall, it was and remains a good, both, visual and spiritual experience. I hope that future games will use such an engine. Hope also that Unreal Engine will come up with an Epic Citadel 2 much bigger and larger.
Best graphics period Why haven't they made games that look this good? The coding is great. I can walk around at 100% 1920x1080 on the ultra highest settings flawlessly. Smooth as butter on my Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.9ghz cpu/2GB RAM/Adreno 320 @ stock 450 mhz. If you are wondering what the hype is about, you need to check this out. It blows everything else out of the water for graphics.
Annoyance. The graphics on this demo are a definite 5 star. This runs so smoothly on my phone it's amazing. The reason I'm giving it one star, and call me petty if you want, is because if it seems so easy to do, why not give us Infinity Blade I, II and III? I guarantee there would be a lot of attention, we're talking millions of downloads, regardless of price. Please Epic and Chair games, please give us those titles, it will not be a waste.
Even Better Works with my Moga controller. I hook it up to my 24in 1080p monitor + Sound. Don't see much difference between this and Skyrim running on my PS3... Actually, against all odds the graphics in this demo seem to be just as good, if not better. Why not keep adding more functionality? Please expand player access area. Maybe even add some NPC? By the way the music theme and overall sound is simply GREAT!!
Amazing exploration! This app hands down blew my mind. Loads+exits fast, amazing detail, free movement for discovery. But the detail by far is just awesome. I will definitely keep this app. I don't ever usually rate an app 5 stars but this one says exactly what it does and lets you do it. So kudos to you for making this app developer and the team!
