By phone at (888) 298-0045. You’ll be asked to verify your identity by providing certain information. You’ll also have the option to receive a one-time PIN (personal identifying number) by text message, or answer questions based on information in your Equifax credit report for identity protection.

¹ Locking your Equifax credit report will prevent access to it by certain third parties. Locking your Equifax credit report will not prevent access to your credit report at any other credit reporting agency. Entities that may still have access to your Equifax credit report include: companies like Equifax Global Consumer Solutions, which provide you with access to your credit report or credit score, or monitor your credit report as part of a subscription or similar service; companies that provide you with a copy of your credit report or credit score, upon your request; federal, state and local government agencies and courts in certain circumstances; companies using the information in connection with the underwriting of insurance, or for employment, tenant or background screening purposes; companies that have a current account or relationship with you, and collection agencies acting on behalf of those whom you owe; companies that authenticate a consumer's identity for purposes other than granting credit, or for investigating or preventing actual or potential fraud; and companies that wish to make pre-approved offers of credit or insurance to you. Didn't work to start with. Don't get this confused with myequifax login. I had to sign up for this feature using this app. Once I signed up with my credentials, a soft pull was made against Equifax to confirm my identity and a verification code sent to me. Once, I went through the process, I was able to get into the app without any issues. I was also able to set it up to log in using my biometric data.

Can't log in on app, website fine. Customer service hung up on me twice after giving all my information. They try to send codes via email or text. While I am getting the code they hang up. No help and no consequences because it happened twice. They do not call back either. Use the website not the terrible app.

This was a lock and NOT an app to view your Equifax credit score. I have credit karma app and I was understanding that it's better to go through the true bureau for most accurate score. Guess I will try the website. I read reviews and info about this app previously so it was a bummer that was not disclosed (somewhere obvious). I'm not saying this service is not useful, it's just not what I was looking for, this very moment...
