Uninstalling. Cannot connect to the GPS in the phone reliably. If I connect to blue tooth, I ought to be able to specify that logging start with the connection, and stop when it is done. It ought to track driving like Waze or Google maps does. Neither of these apps have any trouble using the GPS. This would mean manual entry of mileage for each trip. Since the reaction of this app to keyboard input is slow, entering start and stop mileage is painful. At least there is a trial period, so I am not out any money.
Where did my history go? I've been using this app since January. It updated and I lost my entire years worth of info. Not cool. I really liked this app up until that happened. Now I have to try and track my trips for the past 9 months. Warn people that an update will wipe their history in the future.
Customer Service to the rescue Broke my cell phone and thought I lost all my mileage data; Ted helped recover it all! And, I was using the free version. The app itself has been everything i expected from it and now i can say my first experience with cs is the same.
It keeps getting better I've been using trip-log for a few months, and I have to commend the developers for their continual improvement to the application and listening to my user feedback. This app is growing indispensable for tracking my mileage for expensing and tax purposes. I want to get a Bluetooth interface for tracking the actual odometer and I'll be *really* set.
My initial experience was not not what I expected, I had some difficulty with the app. Managing the features took some time and practice but it seems like I have had success during the trial period. I took a trip with someone else and the ap reacted as if I was in my own vehicle so I have to go back and edit that trip. Overall, I am satisfied I am factoring my lack of knowledge into why I'm having problems....I still rate it a high 4 ...thanks for stepping in to resolve my issue on my first rating ..Im ready to give go with the paid subscription !!
Using this on a Note 4, running Android 5.01, with all location services turned on for maximum accuracy. I used this while driving a brand new Subaru Forester. This application might work well, if you used it manual only, but even that will not correct the several flaws. The GPS function is not accurate. It added 5 to 9 miles to my actual trip every day I used it. That makes it useless to report actual mileage to the IRS. When traveling in traffic it stops and starts at random times, depending on your speed, loosing miles in the process, but still reporting more than you actually drove at the end of the day. Go figure. To make matters worse, the app is very aggressive and forces itself on top of anything you are doing. It froze my screen several times, corrupted the home screen (half of it disappeared), forcing me to restart the phone several times. Not impressed one single bit.
