NICE APP, but still es file manager V3 is far more better than V4+. Yes the es team has built some new useful features, but these features are consuming too much ram memory, internet data, processes. I have a suggestion why don't you keep both these versions of es file manager app updated so if any one like previous es version with good features/simple interface can use that and if someone like the new interface they can go for new es File manager app. The will help the company as well as users of apps.
Was getting performance issues after the update that had the ads. Verifying they are fixed. The previous version automatically installed a "quick charge" feature that somehow gets the battery to charge faster by fetching and display ads... Yeah right. My phone was constantly hot and battery life was horrible. After uninstalling, the phone temperature is back to generally being cool to the touch and I get a good extra 3x battery life. Giving three stars for now as the ads are gone in the new update, will change once I get a chance to test the other issues I was experiencing.
Used the earlier versions of this app constantly with complete satisfaction. It was lightweight and provided what it claimed: a file browser. Updated and now I regret it. This thing is now a huge, trashy (ads everywhere!) all-in-one wannabe system monitor. DON'T WANT OR NEED ANY OF IT! Uninstalling and using another app now.
Previous versions are quick to load and had a better layout. Main screen layout is now a confusion of functional items and near full screen ads. Seems like changes for no good reason apart from more huge ads. And to make ES even more annoying, a big pop-up asks for 5 stars, but stalls at that point with email apps only to click-thru on. All-in-One Toolbox (paid) and Simple File Manager (free) are much easier to use - ES got too greedy, so I will probably delete it.
Long story, short. After this app updated, for whatever reason, it burned through over 7 Gigs of data this month (over 4 Gigs just today) which cost me $60 in data overage charges. After receiving emails about the charges, I did some digging and found the stats that showed this app as the culprit. Last month, this app used a little over 1 Gig of data (who knows why) compared to the 7+ Gigs so far this month. Unbelievable!
The overlay issue drove me nuts. A screen with ads kept popping up. I spent a few hours trying to find out what was going on. Also uninstalling a bunch of apps. The overlay was really annoying. Otherwise this is a good app.
1. Fixed music player display issue
2. Optimize app size
3. Bug fixed
