Ratings and reviews

Regret the money spent, and purchased too long ago for a refund. Continue buttons disappear in accessibility large text mode. The Alphabet Game speaks the syllable too quietly and does not show romaji, which makes an otherwise useful feature useless. Also no "smart drill" feature to review only those hiragana characters that you already reviewed. I've found Bunpo to be much more helpful, though more expensive.

I love this app because it's helped me learn grammar rules and prepare for real scenarios (the lifetime subscription also isn't that pricey). I recommend this app whether you are a beginner or intermediate learner. The updates have been a great change for the app since I first downloaded it about a year and half ago, but the audio feedback in lessons sound terrible now. It sounds almost like chiikawa and isn't great for learning pronunciation. HeyJapan team, please fix this!

I have been using this app for over 3 years, and the quality has really gone downhill. The Japanese is sometimes misspelled, answers are occasionally in Vietnamese, Japanese and English don't match, answers marked incorrect when they're correct, the correct answer not available at all.... these errors have been getting increasingly obvious and I've seen all the them in the last couple of weeks.
