The games dice a rigged. The game either makes the game too easy for you or screws you with every night placement and dice role. Certain characters (usually winning ai) role 7s constantly moving from themselves to you. Then it roles the number several times while its blocked. Its bunk, and doesnt seem to have any randomness.
Lots of fun and allows me to play against friends globally. However, the AI do always team up on you so doesnt make for very great solo play. One suggestion I would like to make for online play is the ability to spectate. Games with friends can take a long time and sometimes its just better to watch.
I love the board game but I feel like it is not rational. There is no way some of the scenarios would happen in real life. I play on the hard setting and the players don't get any better, the game just helps them a lot more. Play online against real people or just be okay with playing 3 against 1.
Often get a black screen when first loading the app (home, end, restart to fix). Randomly shows options screen (online) in foreign language with no apparent option to correct. Online "time out" inconsistent, sometimes I see an "other players waiting" after just a few seconds but wait minutes for other players without any option to vote kick.
Is there any update on the incompatibility issue for Pixel phones when they upgraded to Oreo? I still can't play the game... Edit: after the update today the issue is fixed. Thanks Dev team!
Edit: the updated version now supports Android O. Solid game play. 5 stars! Previous:: Justchased the game and it will not start at all. Just a black screen. I have a Pixel phone with plenty of storage space.
Catan now supports Android 8 / Oreo! The team has updated the game for the latest Android release and added various smaller tweaks and optimizations in the process.
If you enjoy Catan, please let us know via the app store :-) If you need any help, please get in touch with our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll be happy to help!
