The city anniversary 2020 app - created on the occasion of the 900th birthday of the city of Freiburg.
Freiburg's change is unique. The change between then and now and the future development can now be experienced interactively on site with the free Freiburg time travel app. At more than 100 selected stations, you can immerse yourself in Freiburg's past and the near future, be guided to the individual stations via navigation and see historical photos and planned construction projects from exactly the same perspective.
Current comparison images make changes understandable even from a distance. With image sliders, users can move the image section from left to right and merge the perspectives.
Start a journey through time on your own through Freiburg. With the Freiburg time travel app as a tour guide, you can go on a journey of discovery. Six tours with exciting themes lead through the old town and selected parts of the city. Freiburg's mayors from the "second city founder" Otto Winterer to the current mayor Martin Horn report from the Freiburg town hall. Other Freiburg personalities and characters tell stories about their lives throughout the old town.
Videos with drone and historical aerial photographs show change and development from a bird's eye view at various locations. A goosebumps atmosphere is created, for example, at Münsterplatz, when the long road from the wasteland of 1944 to the reconstruction is shown. Looking into the future with the app at new residential areas in Stühlinger-West is astounding, and the display of the Colombipark after the planned redesign is complete is a source of anticipation.
