Update: New glasses are great. The app works good, the device is decent, and the results seem accurate. Though the only way to really find out is to take the test, then go to an eye doctor and get checked, and compare results. If the numbers are within .5, then you're technically good to go. I trust the science behind this more than the fickle and finicky users with no patience or crappy phones. Ive taken 5 tests so far with fairly consistent results. I'm pretty sure they're accurate.

Dak, thanks so much for the detailed review. Speaking to your accuracy point, we're now offering free glasses in our Try-On Glasses beta program. That way, you can take tests, and receive a pair of glasses with your EyeGlass Numbers to verify accuracy for yourself :) Email support@eyeque.com to join the program!!

Very convenient, easy, and prescriptions have been spot on. Make sure your viewer is as evenly spaced inside the rectangle as possible, then get the bands very secure. It may feel like you're tilting it but move the viewer so the red and green lines have even intensity. This makes overlapping the two to make yellow easier, and being a dimly lit room helps. I have been using it for a few years now and love it. I need bifocals, and every time, my prescription has been perfect.

Had difficulty even seeing the two lines. Prescription was way off. I was not happy with the EyeQue at all. No way to reset it as far as I could tell in order to get a more accurate test. Once you set the first numbers it seems to be locked in. And yes, I had a pair of glasses made, it was a waste of time and money for me. I won't even sell it as used. I'd feel awful about ripping someone off.
