Ratings and reviews

My 6 yr old is pretty capable (has a DoodleMaths age of nearly 11) and I'm not convinced by it yet. It's not as customisable as we'd hoped. The goals are vague and you only get a couple of goal options. If you want to target weak areas, the offer is very limited: you have to set an assignment yourself, and for many areas there's just one assignment. Could be much better.

Great programme Using to recap previous school years and help 7 year old catchup. At the same time using to help reception age child get ahead ready for year one. After 8 months really have seen a huge difference in how confident they are. Area for improvement is to provide more clarity and detail on what a child has left to do in order to meet their goals; there seems to be more to it than just earning stars.

Updated review: Came back to this again after several false starts. Free trial content substantial, my child was able to get a good feel for its potential and actually likes it. (Big compliment, he's fussy!) Will likely move over to this from other apps. Longer trial means we can assess suitability first. Great! *I hate apps that make you enter personal details before insisting you pay. Be upfront about charges, give people chance to trial the content before handing over their contact details.*
