Cannot verify existing MD5SUMS One major feature is missing --- the ability to verify the existing database of md5 checksums against the corresponding directory tree of physical files referenced therein. The only use of this app would be to calculate checksum of something downloaded directly on an Android device, but this is impossible because most sites prevent downloads from anything except a desktop (or laptop) computer. So, one still has to use a proper computer to do any type of work.
Works Okay Does well and is easy to use, but one problem, though. The app will find the MD5 but will not "check" it to verify the MD5s match, I have to do it manually. Other than that little quirk, the app works great.
Just Right Lightweight app that performs as intended. The standard when checking zips or other files that downloaded slowly - sometimes server error that can potentially cause a corrupt download. Nice app! Thanks!
I used this for quite a while and it was stable, simple and fast. It sucks now though on 7.11 - unusable with constant crashes 😕
It just does the job - no fuss! There are ads which I normally hate but here they do not get in the way.
Super simple and works perfectly for checking the MD5. UPDATE: Since moving to Android N this crashes. Still works perfectly on my devices that are running older versions of Android.
- Fixed an issue where a previously saved path which has been deleted would cause the application to crash
- Fixed an issue for Android 4.4 where SD card content could not be read
-Completely rewrote the application for code clarity
-Updated tab UI
-reads .md5 and .md5sum files
