About this app

How did Rosenheim's city history play out during the Nazi era? Who were the victims and survivors of Nazi persecution? Who are the perpetrators? How did the urban culture of remembrance develop after 1945? And last but not least: What does this have to do with me?

The #ROmember app would like to help us address these and other questions. In interactive tours through Rosenheim, the history of Nazi persecution in our city is conveyed using audio clips, historical photos and other sources. This also makes invisible traces of the Nazi era visible in public spaces. This is how the past and remembering in the present come together – interactively, informatively and touchingly.

#ROmember is a joint project of the cultural office of the city of Rosenheim (with the municipal museum and city archive) in collaboration with the artist Christiane Huber. In addition, committed citizens and several schools in Rosenheim and the surrounding area were involved in the development of the app. Details can be found in the imprint.

The technical implementation of the app was carried out as part of the “fabulAPP” funding program of the state office for non-state museums in Bavaria.
