Update: its now over 6 months since fb msnger fails for voice and video calls if a bluetooth audio device (i. E. smartwatch) is connected. If i call from my phone via messenger audio or video it instantly fails. Turn off bluetooth and all works. Fb msngr needs to ignore (or use) connected devices. Please fix!
The app asks for too many permissions. I can turn them off manually in settings on my Samsung Galaxy S8. That's too much trouble though. What guarantee do I have that Messenger won't turn permissions back on? So, I use Chrome Browser & go to my FB profile page. Request the desktop site through Chrome settings. Then I'm able to view my messages.
I was so against downloading messenger since it became an independent app due to all the permissions, but I finally downloaded ACCIDENTALLY few months ago and am now getting "unfortunately messenger has stopped: report/ok" over and over again on my screen ALL day now relentlessly and when I try to open messenger; which I never use, it force stops immediately everytime. Not sure if it's the update or what but this is highly frustrating
It keeps on logging me out whenever I switch from one account to another. Once I've entered in the account I'll use, a pop-up will say session expired. It's really inconvenient especially when facebook messenger is my way of communicating with my family who are abroad and far. Edit: Updated it today and it's just a white screen. Nothing else is showing and it's really annoying.
I do like the app however I think there needs to be a way to increase the audio volume while on a messanger call. I could hardly hear the person I was talking to with out holding the phone's speaker to my ear. Not very convient with regard to video calls.
Constantly having problems. First problem is that the sorting of folders is abysmal. Just have an option for recently added or alphabetically sorted. This would be greatly appreciated, please implement this. The second problem is that I do not recieve any notification for messages received. I don't understand why this is. If you could please fix these two simple issues with you app, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, should you fix them.
Now you can see your call history and missed calls—all in one place.
