Open the app and start talking. The Meta AI app (previously the Meta View app) is designed for natural back-and-forth conversations, so you can get what you need faster and more easily. Meta AI* can learn your preferences and interests to give you more helpful answers, whether you’re on the go or getting work done. It can also help you create, edit and restyle images and videos.

If you have Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta glasses, this is the updated companion app you’ll need to do things like manage your glasses, import and share photos and videos, and more. The Meta AI app is required to support your glasses experience.

Ratings and reviews

The biggest issue is battery drain. It's a serious battery hog. It drains 1% every 2 minutes--just running in the background (screen off). It also makes my phone really warm. If I had known the app would drain my battery so much, I wouldn't have bought the frames. The home screen is fairly useless, since they're just tutorials that you've already done when setting up the glasses. Deleting photos/videos requires too many steps.

I downloaded the Meta AI app but couldn’t even sign up. The app only allows login through Facebook or Instagram, which I don’t use. There is an option to create an account using an email address, but when I tried, it kept saying "invalid name" even though I entered my correct first name and surname. This makes no sense and blocks new users who don’t have social media accounts. Please improve the sign-up process and allow proper email-based account creation. Very disappointing experience.

Don't waste your money. Great idea, poor execution. Half of the time the glasses fail to connect and they're actually EASIER to use without the app and extra features. Somehow, the app makes the glasses function significantly worse to the point regular glasses and/or earpods will be your best bet. edit: so they've actually been working pretty well after a few updates. They still won't connect to any WiFi networks except WiFi direct to import pics so automatic updates won't work and they're slow
