Good Functionality But Slow Fastmail is great. The mobile website used in this app also works well, and I like the integrated notifications and the functionality they provide. Unfortunately, the app has gotten too slow on my aging phone - it sometimes takes upwards of 45 seconds just to open my inbox. The app also takes up a lot of memory (65 MB) for what it is.
Since upgrading to latest version, using android 7 and emui 5 I regularly get "logged out" and cannot log in again. Restarting app fixes issue, but this occurs every morning. I may be related to Huawei's battery saving policy, but I've done what I can to keep it protected from that. The app is not very fast either. I'm looking at other options, prime candidate is Gmail app which I use for my Gmail account.
Great support! Had no absolutely 0 issues they did reply back very quick and was very nice addressing my concerns. Bad, con about this is I seem to keep forgetting my log in password? Constantly. It maybe because I do have multiple emails I use. But it is fairly easy to recover it using my other recovery email. Overall I'm pleased with this and it is way better than tutanota another email provider I have used.
Unusable Please add a simple checkbox to show device notifications for emails filed in to folders as well! Frustrating to have to keep manually checking. Great app otherwise. EDIT: As of the latest version it is impossible to login. Most of the time it will not accept your correct credentials. The app is now unusable, please fix this.
Not compatible with Textra keyboard's swype typing feature. When I swype, the following two lines are deleted; the word I'm typing is repeated a second time and is concatenated with the text in the 3rd line. Also notice occasional strange behavior in FastMail app when I just type letter-by-letter. Been hoping the Android app would be rewritten one day, but apparently it's the company's red-headed stepchild. Don't waste your time with this app.
Suffices Unlike some other reviewers I'm not bothered about offline access to my mailbox, so this app does the trick. My biggest gripe is the lack of notifications for subfolders, i.e. non inbox measages. 95℅ of my mail is organised in folders so I constantly have to open the app to see if new messages have been received. Please fix this!
- Added support for new FastMail authentication system.
