Needs directions and character interactions It's really a great idea but... after one day of using it I was geared up head to toe with nothing to fight. Maybe a map with your steps moving you to the next fight location and add in random mobs. Also there is no description of why you take how much damage in a fight. And I liked that sleep healed. Gives the game a break. But nothing to do means I will likely uninstall.
Motivating This is surprisingly motivating - more than the fitbit dashboard. Great that the quests come in different levels. The following improvements to quests suggested: a few more quests that go over a few days to encourage daily consistency could be good; more information on how to increase xp, hp and each skill, and whether steps or distance can be used towards multiple quests; incorporate a fictional world map and story related quests; larger quests where your steps get you to a "location" first; settings from fitbit should carry over e.g. km.
I'm pretty sure that this app isn't being supported anymore, especially since the Kickstarter campaign failed. Too bad. Would've been fun. I love the idea of this, and if could be great with some additional work/features, for instance, the ability to fight bosses and do quests with a party, as opposed to the only "multiplayer" being battle mode. More importantly, developers have to fix the game so that it not only loads more quickly, but loads at all using LTE, especially for the 1-4 hour time limited quests. You don't want to start those at home where there's WiFi, and then burn time as you drive to a hiking trail head.
Very motivating! I bought a Fitbit just to play this game, after hearing about it from a friend. I really needed some motivation, and have always thought I would be more active if I could somehow make a game out of it. I even imagined some kind of exercise / RPG integration, and am so happy this team is making it happen! I can see they have a lot of work yet to do, but even in this raw form it inspires me to move more. I find myself getting up from my desk and taking extra steps to help my "Elf" fulfill her quests! The app is definitely worth trying in its current form, but I can't wait to see where the developers take it (yes, I am all signed up to back them in the kickstarter). New release today fixed one of the problems I was having (friend button) so I'll just play with it as-is, and wait to see as more fixes, features and improvements roll in. Keep up the great work gang!
It's ok I have to type in my character name every time I open the app, which is dumb. There should be an option to just select a character I already built. Quests are cool, but not very descriptive on how it calculates. Steps from "this" point on versus "all day" would be nice to add above the time limit. Great concept and love what it could do, just waiting to see that implemented.
Concept is awesome, Waiting is not Always waiting for this app to load! Love the concept however it is gimmicky and needs work, graphics would be good and make it more exciting. The explaination on how to level up Health and Experience Bar should be explained when you tap on the Health Bar/Experience. Would really like to use this more but loading is frustrating. Would be cool if you intergrated other rewards for burning calories and doing other types of work outs.
