Latest update is great, good to see exactly how many calories left during the day and not just percentage. Still happy with this app

There should just be a place where you can input your steps

I installed about 10 apps to try out, giving each app about 10 minutes. This app did not require me to sign up to get to the good stuff. In fact it does a lot more than a lot of the paid apps. The entire screen on my phone was used for things I wanted, and not a bunch of the bloat found in the paid apps. The food search is more robust than many of the other paid apps. You can export your summaries as pdf's too! Easy, streamlined interface. Love it.

Does what it says on the box. Easy to use and somehow it makes calorie counting really fun! I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this. Already managed to lose some weight. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the database is still lacking many popular items and new items I've added don't immediately show up publicly - in fact I don't know when they do. Also, it should be made possible for us to edit new food items I've previously captured and published in order to correct mistakes. Other than that I'm really loving this app.

A fantastic app which has a really high hit rate for barcode scans on UK based foods (a rarity), features loads of fantastic macro information and unbelievably is completely free and not ad-supported. Can't recommend highly enough.

I started counting carbs. This app has been very helpful. Most national food brands are already in there and some local brands are too. If you need to add a food, it's easy. I've been easily able to keep track of my nutrition and calories burned. Bonus: the app runs without a glitch. THANKS FOR THE APP.

So many details with macronutrients. Exactly what I was looking for. Most complicated part is finding your journal. Minor in the scheme of things I guess. Preferred over Lose it! And fitness pal
I keep rating this app and it disappears :/ a bit weird. It takes to long to log food erroring out constantly. I'm uninstalling and going back to my original default phone fitness app because it's faster to search calories in Google and then manually enter them than logging a meal on this app.
I love this app! I use this app everyday constantly! But I wish it would fix the issue of when u get an email and click the following person or notifications from email as it don't load it just sits at the apps green screen. Also would be helpful for if u could find the ppl you are following in the Community or following you, it is a little hard to navigate in the community, other then that app rocks!!!!!
Even though I can change energy to be measured in Kj rather than Cal it doesn't make that change universal. So annoying (for most of the world). Seems to do the job for USA, but I'm ditching it for one that does Kj properly.

Sorry Martin, we hope to support this properly... itvs a useful app, with greate database of foods and drinks. but interface is rather buggy and unintuitive, at least at first glance. and app's widget is not working on my android 6.4 - whatever I do with it, it just opens up app
**THE GOOD:** Clean, minimal, intuitive interface. Extensive calorie database with ability to input. Able to save your meals/recipes, barcode scanner, and "recently eaten/searched" list for ease of entry. You can sign up to store your info on their server, but you don't have to give them anything if you don't want to. Weight tracker with adjustable calorie goals based on your weight. Tracks macronutrients. **THE MEH:** Would have liked an "exercise goal", darker interface background theme option (for night use, to avoid blinding my eyes, and to save battery), an abilty to input a specific number calorie goal, tracking of micronutrients/vitamin intake. **THE BAD:** The exercise database seems too heavily weighted? Not sure if I trust it. No abilty to "browse" exercise database. Doesn't sync with wearable exercise trackers (or, at least, not the "Shine" that I personally have).
I think that tracking weight is very useful and the calorie counter is great. I don't use the the activity section because I'm not sure what to put there. I can't remember too much about what I do, and I find it easier to record what I've eaten. My favourite part about the app is how you can submit a food into the database if it's not there. I really liked doing this because I felt I was helping the community as well as myself.
I primarily use the full website, but I'm starting to love this app. I've found it challenging to find some things that are easy to find on the website, but it's awesome to have it so readily available. I've lost 12lbs in just over a month by keeping track of my calories and nutrients, keeping them in line with the recommended amount according to fat secret, and exercising. The exercise tracker is really encouraging to get more active, since you burn calories for everyday activities like grocery shopping and singing as well as rowing and cycling.
Love this app!! Great for keeping oneself in check. I wouldn't follow the advice it gives on percentage of fat, carbohyfrate and protein intake as everybody is different and each person would require different amounts of each group. As a calorie counter, however, it's very easy to use and very useful for tracking one's weight.
I've been using MyFitnessPal for a long time and switched because my coach at the gym uses this. I like most of the features I wish they would build a recipe Builder like they have in MyFitnessPal with scannable features.
All in all, one of my favorite food tracking apps. One thing I would like to see (I haven't found it yet if it's in it) is the ability to copy a meal you may have had a few weeks ago in your diary, and select it for the current day. I know that I can make a custom meal, but to be able to"grab" a meal from your history, tweak it a little, and then add it for the current day would be great. Otherwise I'm very happy with the app.
Full of incorrect information. If a user enters the wrong nutritional values, the entry cannot be edited or deleted once saved which means you have to double check everything. Last two weeks I have been trying to enter new foods and keep getting error messages which is infuriating as all the information entered is correct. Would be a nice App if the developers sorted a few things out and fine tuned these annoying quirks. Sorry but a thumbs down from me.

Sorry Bronwyn, we'll take on board the feedback and try and make improvements. Great interface for tracking food intake but database needs improvements. User-submitted entries somehow not searchable by others (tested with other accounts).
It really does keep me on track. Really easy to use and very helpful to know how many calories carbs protein fat etc is in everything we eat. Will continue to use for a long time to come.
Very good with incoming kcal calculating. But Burn calories function is unfortunately useless, because quantity of burn calories is not used anywhere.
My use of this app has been for calorie tracking, macro nutrient tracking, etc. I love it with one exception, I meal prep sometimes and would like a more convenient and upfront way of creating a Saved Meal. As far as I have found so far, the app only permits you to make a saved meal when you are trying to add a meal for a day (some of my meals are planned out a week in advance and not eaten that very day). It would be awesome if I could create a saved meal without going through that roundabout process.
Tried most of the other calorie counters, this is by far my favourite due to the clean interface (free! no ads! no signups!) and Google Fit integration. Would be 5 stars but the database isn't as comprehensive as competitors (i.e. MyFitnessPal). This would be fine if I could edit the nutritional data after I've scanned a barcode and discovered incorrect information, but I can't. If I try to resubmit after entering food as a new item, it just reverts to the old, incorrect data. I frequently use the option to flag nutritional info as incorrect but who knows if that does anything. Still, great app!
Been using this app on and off for years! Love it. Haven't a single complaint just a suggestion, maybe some sort of step counter?
Best free food tracker app I've seen in the Google Play Store, but it has drawbacks, probably due to it being free, that cause inconvenience. Minus half star for not being able to manually save your foods/drinks of choice. It prefers to do that on it's own, which is still kind of sloppy in its feel. Minus another half star for its very simple workout tracker. If I went for a run, it does not allow me to record it as my monitoring device does (i.e. Apple Watch, FitBit, etc.). It just says "run" and puts an estimated number on my list, which is usually off by a lot.
I really like this app! I do not make use of the community and recipe features, but find the calorie and nutrient tracking very useful. I enjoy that you can sync it to Google Fit. If I could change anything about this app, I would add a pill tracker for daily medications and supplements.
Overall not bad, but.. Own recipes just don't work here! If trying to add a recipe through app you can't provide nutrition details, therefore unable to add to diary. Then if you add it through web it doesn't appear in my saved recipes folder. Got to wait till recipe get approved (takes ages, if you lucky enough to get accepted at all) and then search from thousands others. If you add your recipe in "My Favourite Meals" or "My Custom Foods" on the website it won't appear anywhere in the app! So you are left with picking every single ingredient separately for your meal each time! NOT GOOD! The goal can be set for calories only, can't edit other macros. You can track only your weight. How about other things like body fat or waist length? Also a few other glitches in app and web (ie struggling upload photo) Overall still lot to improve but the whole project is very helpful anyway and thanks for that!
Macros counting is not correct - % of fat, carb and protein is not showing correctly for my phone in total. Though absolute numbers are correct.
Really like the App. Only thing I'd add would be the ability to choose tracking carbs as the primary measure vs. calories being the locked-in primary measure, or show both on the meals eaten page.
Stick with it through the first few days as you load your normal meals. Then it becomes super quick as most meals are repeated. Quick, easy to use and very useful. Nice!
Very good app. I tried most in the play store (even the paid ones) and this seems to be the best. I am on a Ketogenic diet and need to eat 75% fat, 5% carbs and 20% protein. Therefore (at the bottom area near the pie chart), I would love to see percentage of NET carbs shown as well as percentage of carbs. Also the additional of more bar codes would be an advantage. At least you can add your own foods. However once you have added a food it would be better if you could edit/delete the entry. I made a mistake entering nutritional information and now it is stuck there (and it seems to be public and searchable)? The developers are very responsive and looking for ways to improve. My request for net carbs percentage is being considered for a future update. Despite the few minor issues, 5 stars for being free with no ads. Rare! Well done and keep up the good work.
Really good but add ability to take picture when doing a weight log! Edit :need offline data base syncing!!! Online only app does not work and really takes away so many good stars you had
Easy to use, helps you manage your calorie intake and also how many calories burnt. It Still needs to add more food items and restaurant chains to the list.
Can't get it for the new BlackBerry z10. Have to go to website on my phone, that's too hard to update. App was available on my old BlackBerry. Please update for z10. Got a new LG phone app works good with Android phone Update: Finally got a new phone (Android) and this app does exactly what I need it to do. Shed 17 lbs in 2 mos.
I like that I can find local brands. And I enjoy graphs so seeing my weight loss progress gives me motivation. Good app
Helps me monitor calories, sodium and protein to manage my kidney disease. Easy to use.
Has been effective in helping me watch (and think about)what I eat. Would be handy if it could pull exercise data from the fitbit account though.
this app helps me to control calorie intake for months, albeit menu search is slow and incomplete, the recipes collection is poor, frequent crashes.. but so far it does what it said... it works but not satisfactory..
Really great app however there is no hungarian server so i'm forced to use other regions servers which makes it time consuming since i have to enter pretty much all the food data myself.
